Hello Andy,

I am glad you were able to install Server. The first time login in to Server, you need to use the Request Access link to create an account. It will then prompt you to fill out some information to create the account and user credentials. Once the request is submitted, you will be able to login to the Server with the created credentials.

Please note that this is only true for the first user created. Any subsequent request submitted, will require an existing user to accept or deny user requests from the Team tab.

Hello, This is my very first post to this forum.

I installed the Server as part of the training course. But how do I login as admin for the first time? What are the default credentials?

thanks and sorry if I missed something in the training.

Hello Rotfcoy,

In this case I am referring to placing "::1" in the IP Address field for the Agent entry in the Server. You will want to use http://localhost:81/ for the URL. An HTTP 400 error is usually accompanied by additional text stating that the Agent record could not be found. Please verify that the MAC address matches the Agent Machine Info, and the IP Address field matches the "Server Generated IP" field in the Machine Info. The "Server Generated IP" field will be filled by pinging the server at the URL provided in the main Agent screen. You can also upgrade to v1.3.0, where the MAC Address and IP Address fields have been made part of an optional "Enhanced Security" feature, simplifying Agent setup.

Hi Cameron,

I have the same issue when connecting OB Agent to the OB Server on local host. I got Status Error 400 when i used this URL (http://localhost:81/) on the OB Agent Login Page. Then i tried with ::1 in the URL Input field, the OB Agent was closed automatically. Any solution?

Hello,

One key caveat to connecting a local agent is that the IP Address for the Agent will be received by the Server as "::1". You can see this by placing the server URL into the Agent's designated field, then opening the Machine Info tool by right clicking on the Agent icon in your taskbar. This tool will also provide you with the necessary MAC Address and Hostname for the Agent. You should also make sure to use the exact Username and Password you set when creating the Agent in the Server for the connection.

If you have further issues please respond here with the exact error message provided and we can work from there.

Hello,

In order to connect to Openbots server, you need to indicate the correct information when creating your agent. You can find this information by right-clicking the Openbots Agent icon located on the system tray, then selecting Machine Info. Please use the image below as reference.

Machine Info

You will be prompted to a window containing the following information: Domain\Username Machine Name MAC Address IP Address Server Generated IP

Use the copy/paste functionality to easily retrieve the values and input them in server.

In addition, please refer to this Openbots server walkthrough video found on the Openbots Youtube channel:OpenBots Server: How to Get Started

Hope this helps!
